Comparison

Jobber vs Kickserv: $149 against $48 for a five-person team, and what the difference buys

Kickserv's Start plan covers five users for $60/mo; Jobber's five-user Connect band is $199, or $149 on annual billing. Jobber is cheaper for one person and dearer for everyone else. The cost at every headcount, and what each plan includes as published.

The short answer

For one person, Jobber's Core at $29/mo annual undercuts Kickserv. From two users up, Kickserv is cheaper at every size it publishes — $48/mo annual for five, $95.20 for ten, $159.20 for twenty, against Jobber's $149, $229 and a sales quote. Jobber's case is what its tiers list that Kickserv's don't: online booking and a website from Core, automatic payment collection and quote follow-ups from Connect, and published card rates.

Jobber is the best-known product in this category and Kickserv is one of the cheapest. For most team sizes the price gap between them is large enough that the comparison is really one question: is what Jobber lists worth about $100 a month more for a five-person shop?

Every figure below was read from getjobber.com/pricing and kickserv.com/pricing on 24 October 2026.

How each one sells seats

Jobber sells Core for one person only. Teams buy Connect or Grow in bands of 1, 5, 10 and 15 users, and every plan card adds: “Add users for $29/mo each.” Above fifteen users, the page says “Let’s chat.”

Kickserv sells three bands — five users on Start, ten on Run, twenty on Scale — with no per-seat charge inside a band and 20% off for annual billing.

What each size costs

Annual billing on both, cheapest published plan at each headcount. Jobber’s figures use Connect, its cheapest plan for more than one person.

Users Jobber Kickserv Difference

2 $128 · Connect 1 + 1 $48 · Start Kickserv $80 less
5 $149 · Connect $48 · Start Kickserv $101 less
6 $178 · Connect 5 + 1 $95.20 · Run Kickserv $83 less

15 $299 · Connect $159.20 · Scale Kickserv $140 less
20 Quoted (16+) $159.20 · Scale —

Month-to-month, the five-user gap is wider: $199 at Jobber against $60 at Kickserv, $139 a month.

At five users the annual difference is $1,212 a year. That is the number Jobber’s features have to justify.

What each plan lists

The two pricing pages describe their plans differently — Jobber lists what each tier does, Kickserv lists what each tier adds — so this is a comparison of what is printed, not of what each product can do. Run both trials before deciding a feature is missing.

Jobber Connect lists Core’s online booking, quotes, invoices, online payments, a website and reporting, plus automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, job checklists, automated quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync, and time and expense tracking.

Kickserv Start lists an embeddable contact form, automated email and text reminders, more than 20 business reports, time and expense tracking, and QuickBooks Online integration. Run adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins, custom fields and custom reports.

Both list reminders, time and expense tracking, and QuickBooks Online. What only Jobber’s page lists at this level is online booking, a website, automatic payment collection, checklists, and automated quote and invoice follow-ups. What only Kickserv’s lists is the contact form, the report library and, on Run, dispatch mapping and GPS check-ins.

Payments

Jobber publishes 2.9% + 30¢ for online cards, 2.7% + 30¢ for Tap to Pay and 1% for bank payments, the same on every plan. Kickserv lists Stripe as an integration and publishes no rate.

That matters more than it looks. On $30,000 a month in card payments, one percentage point is $300 a month — three times the five-user subscription gap. Before choosing Kickserv on price, get its rate in writing and set the two side by side.

Kickserv’s Kickback programme takes 5% off the subscription when you process $1,000 a month or more on Start. That is $3 a month; it should not decide anything.

The verdict, by shop

Two to five people, budget first Kickserv Start $48/mo annual for five logins
Six to ten people, need a dispatch map Kickserv Run $95.20/mo annual for ten, with dispatch mapping and GPS check-ins
You want online booking and automated follow-ups Jobber Connect Both are listed on Jobber’s plans and not on Kickserv’s
Heavy card volume, rate unknown Get Kickserv’s rate first One point of processing outweighs the subscription gap

Before you buy either

  1. Trial both on live work. Kickserv gives 30 days; Jobber gives 14 on its Grow plan.
  2. Get Kickserv’s card rate in writing and compare it with Jobber’s published 2.9% + 30¢.
  3. Check the feature you care most about in both trials — the pricing pages list features differently, and absence from a list is not proof of absence from the product.
  4. Start on monthly billing and move to annual after a busy season.
